Transportation Of SRU Tailgas Column – Reliance Industries

As one of the four 100m long plus packages expected as part of our contract with RIL for the J3 project, the SRU tail gas column measuring 104.92m x 6.32m x 7.07 m and weighing 785MT poses its own set of challenges that include route modifications and removal of horizontal/vertical obstructions en route. After rolling off the SRU tail gas column from RO-RO vessel “Combidock-III”, we used our SPMT’s in an open compound configuration and transported the column nearly 30Km to its Erection site at the J3 complex in March 2015.
